Oscar León Bernal is a Mexico City native and now twenty year resident of New York. He initially moved to the New York City to pursue a graduate degree, in cultural anthropology, at the CUNY Graduate Center. He has worked in various research centers and non-profit agencies as a research associate and assistant. He obtained ABD status at the Graduate Center due to his interest in entrepreneurship and the creation of cultural/culinary spaces grew. He also opened a restaurant-bar focused on contemporary Mexican cuisine and spirits, called La Loncheria in 2017. While he continues to operate the restaurant, he also joined QEDC in December of 2024 as Assistant Manager at Corona Plaza.
