Program Structure

The LaunchLab is divided into two parts. The first part is the online group sessions that take place. Class sessions take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-9pm EST via zoom. Each class is broken down into three objectives - learn, do, reflect. Lectures are limited to the first hour, with clear instructions for your project to be completed in the second hour. These projects can be solo or group based. The third hour is kept for sharing your work, feedback and reflections. Our class structure enables you to implement your learnings right away, which holds you accountable to meeting your business goals after.

The second part of this program is custom coaching. Each student works with a coach to customize the class material to their business goals so that they can receive maximum benefits from the program.

Instructor

Kobla Asamoah has spent over 15 years building the infrastructure entrepreneurs need to launch, operationalize, and scale their ventures — as a fund builder, accelerator designer, and direct advisor to founders. As Founding Partner of Caminus Ventures, he worked at the intersection of institutional capital and grassroots entrepreneurship, with particular depth in food and community-rooted businesses. His earlier work at Hot Bread Kitchen grew program membership by 153% and earned revenue by 75%, and his roots in community economic development — including work with Bed-Stuy Restoration Corporation and St. Nicks Alliance — ground his approach in the practical realities facing local entrepreneurs.

Kobla brings this same hands-on approach to the classroom, teaching Social Entrepreneurship at NYU Stern and the School of Visual Arts, where he has worked directly with nearly 200 students over eight years. He currently serves as Board Chair of the Bread Bakers Guild of America, a Board Member of Slow Money NYC, and an Advisory Board member for Tufts University's Derby Entrepreneurship Center.

Prior to his work in venture-building and social enterprise, Kobla spent several years in capital markets advising public companies on corporate finance and investor relations — experience that continues to inform how he coaches founders toward fundable, sustainable growth. Kobla holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from NYU Stern and a BA from Tufts University.
