Director, Women's Business Center
Andrea first started working with us at Queens Visitor Center and 2008 before becoming our MicroEntrepreneur Coordinator in 2010 and the Director of the Women's Business Center is 2013. She is our leading expert on permits and licensing, especially working with women and the Hispanic immigrant community. While at QEDC, Andrea has also taken part in helping us better manage our data and conducting outreach to partners.
A native of Ecuador, Andrea speaks fluent Spanish and has helped many Spanish-speaking individuals launch lasting and successful businesses.
When she is not organizing our popular Women's Business Center Power Networking Events, Andrea also teaches our monthly "New Idea to New Venture" class and is an instructor for our StartUP! Business Plan Competition.
Andrea has been highlighted as leader as the youngest Women's Business Center in QEDC's history, with profiles in The Queens Courier, El Diario, and The Queens Gazette.
Andrea is the recipient of the National Association of Professional Women New York VIP Women of the Year (2014).
Andrea is a 2013 graduate of Queens College with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and is a GrowthWheel certified advisor. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
