Time: 5:45pm to 8:45pm

This QuickBooks course aims to provide the technical know-how for people looking to learn how to use this program effectively.

Please note this class is for QuickBooks Online. While it has the same functions as the desktop version, the interface is very different. This class will not teach you how to use the desktop version of QuickBooks.

In this class you will:

Work hands-on with QuickBooks Online Plus. In order to take this class, please bring a laptop after registering for QuickBooks Online Plus, which can be found here. The subscription is free for the first 30 days. If you do not bring a laptop with your QuickBooks Online account login information, you will be unable to take the class.

Please note that this class fills up extremely quickly. If it is full, please add your name to the waiting list.

Why take a class on Quickbooks?

- Because your receipts fade and storage of your data is difficult without it. (You can link transactions and make things much easier if you are ever audited).
- Quickbooks helps you create analytic reports you can use to make better business decisions and keep your bookkeeping tight.
- Because MS Excel is not made for bookkeeping! You lose out on power information created by QB reports.
- Save money come tax time. Save between 5 hours/month of manual entry and over $4,200 a year come tax time by using QuickBooks.*
- Manual entries and bank statement importation can create lost transactions and no reconciliation.

*Based on normal retainer fee paid for bookkeeping.

This class is part of the NYC Small Business Tech Coalition, funded by the NYCSBS and Citi Community Development.

Where: 120-55 Queens Blvd.
Room 213
Kew Gardens, NY 11424
Time: 8:30am to 10:30am

Join us for the first Women's Power Networking Breakfast of the Fall featuring free food, the chance to make connections with your fellow entrepreneurs, and the chance to meet with QEDC staff. This month's topic will be referrals.

The #1 sales source for business owners is referrals. Yet, most business owners spend thousands of dollars every month marketing to prospects that are 6-7 times more expensive (and less likely) to close than referrals from existing clients. In this interactive workshop join Popcorn Productions as they teach participants how to strengthen their position this Holiday season by creating unique gifts and experiences aimed at current and past clients to bring in new business, referrals and increased loyalty.

You'll walk away with...

  • Knowing how to distinguish between good, ok and great clients for a more strategic approach to referrals
  • Brainstorm 2-3 unique gifts or experiences you can send to your client list this Holiday season
  • Next steps on how to start transforming your business as a "referable" company

About the Speaker

Deborah Asseraf is Founder & CEO of Popcorn Productions, a full implementation company helping business owners break through the noise and claim their spotlight through strong, fun & innovative marketing strategies. After working for three years at ABC Television coordinating large-scale galas & concerts, Deborah decided she had her fill of cookie cutter events and started Popcorn Productions in 2012. Through a combination of laser focused marketing strategies and creation of innovative exercises and interactive activities, Popcorn Productions helps business owners and brands stand out from the crowd. Deborah also writes for Epoch Times through her blog Social Pulse.
