Get Certified in QuickBooks Online

When: May 8, 2014
Where: The Entrepreneur Space, 36-46 37th Street, Long Island City, NY 11101
Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Cost: Free

This 3-day class (5/8, 5/15, and 5/22) QuickBooks course aims to provide the technical know-how for people looking to learn how to use this program effectively.

Please note this class is for QuickBooks Online. While it has the same functions as the desktop version, the interface is very different. This class will not teach you how to use the desktop version of QuickBooks.

In this class you will:

Work hands-on with QuickBooks Online Plus. In order to take this class, please bring a laptop after downloading the trial version of QuickBooks Online Plus, which can be found here. There are also a very limited number of laptops available that will be given out on a first come, first served basis.

Please note that this class fills up extremely quickly. If it is full, please add your name to the waiting list.

Why take a class on Quickbooks?

- Because your receipts fade and storage of your data is difficult without it. (You can link transactions and make things much easier if you are ever audited).
- Quickbooks helps you create analytic reports you can use to make better business decisions and keep your bookkeeping tight.
- Because MS Excel is not made for bookkeeping! You lose out on power information created by QB reports.
- Save money come tax time. Save between 5 hours/month of manual entry and over $4,200 a year come tax time by using QuickBooks.*
- Manual entries and bank statement importation can create lost transactions and no reconciliation.

*Based on normal retainer fee paid for bookkeeping.

This class is part of the NYC Small Business Tech Coalition, funded by the NYCSBS and Citi Community Development.

This presentation will explain the significance and challenges of communicating in our digital world. It is now easier than ever to make connections, but it can be difficult to create real, trustworthy relationships, especially when you are not always able to meet face-to-face. It is important to not only build strong bonds with other professionals, but with clients as well to insure positive reviews and referrals.

About the Speaker

Patricia Cliff has sold luxury real estate in New York City for four decades and has consistently ranked annually among the top 1% of The Corcoran Group's 1500 agents. She heads up one of the firm's most successful real estate teams: The CGC Team. The Wall Street Journal ranked her in its top 250 real estate practitioners in 2012 – out of a pool of 22,000 agents selling residential real estate in Manhattan. .  She is the author of the recently published, extremely well regarded book, The Art of Selling Real Estate, which is touted as a tool to cutting ten years off the learning curve for  practitioners in the residential real estate field.
