PITCHING AND PRESENTING YOUR BUSINESS

Learn the importance of your elevator pitch and how to create it, in order to sell yourself to prospective investors. Key information will be touched upon to include in your presentation and create the image and perception necessary to succeed!

In this workshop you will learn:

• Overview of the Purpose of Pitching Your Business - Attracting interest from the targeted audience.
• Knowing Your Audience - How to identify what the targeted audience wants and is looking for.
• Elevator Pitch - How to construct it; spend time developing  your Pitch and getting feedback.
• Your Presentation - How to construct it; Do's and Don'ts during your presentation.
• Answers to your questions from a qualified instructor

About the Speaker:

Justin Morris has 14 years of experience in finance and technology. He previously lead deals at FTI Consulting on behalf of clients including GM, Lehman Brothers , the Government of Ireland, and Vornado Realty Trust. Additionally, he is in the process of finalizing an investment round with investors and can provide a "boots on the ground" perspective on getting in front of your targeted audience.

Working Sage is a company that provides products and coaching to help entrepreneurs and small business people know their market and use that information to make more sales. She has a background in business, is a certified facilitator, trainer and an adjunct professor in the marketing department at Fordham University. 

 Minority/Women Business Owned Enterprise Program (M/WBE) Orientation

The workshop will cover Government Procurement opportunities for M/WBE's, qualifications for M/WBE certification and how to apply for M/WBE certification.

This workshop is done in partnership with the Queens Chamber of Commerce

Home Improvement Contractor Training Course - Group 1 Saturday, April 28, May 5, and 12

QEDC will offer Mandarin-language workshops to immigrant home improvement contractors who want to take the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs licensing exam. The lessons will be accompanied by one-on-one business advisory services, such as consultations on permits and licensing, business development, procurement and access to capital.

During this training course, participants will be getting the necessary preparation to become a Home Improvement Contractor Licensed.

The first group for this training course will be meeting for three consecutive Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Compu21: 39-07 Prince Street, Unit 2C, Flushing, NY 11354.
