If you missed it -Women in Business-This is How we

Do it, was a huge success!

Two weeks ago, over 30 women joined us for a special session honoring women. Our featured Speakers gave us some great tips on how to achieve success and keep the balance. Tips included:

Reconnect: Make sure you are doing something on a regular basis to get personally centered i.e. workout, take a walk or try yoga or meditation.

Take Action: Ever if you have no experience, jump in and get started don't be afraid to learn as you go and make corrections. Stop thinking so much, just do it.

Seek Like Minds: It's important to share ideas and challenges with other business owners in your field, it improves the learning curve. If you don't know any, start a a small trade group to help create the connections.

Thank you to Sheri Koetting and Orly  Salsberg for your insight . You can learn more about their businesses here:

Queens Power Women Networking Breakfast TM

Featuring Emily Blumenthal

Thursday, April 9th

8:30 am - 10:30 am

Handbag Designer 101

Brainchild of Yasmena and Yazzy Bag creator and handbag designer consultant, Emily Blumenthal, Handbag Designer 101 is bridging the gap between designer handbag fan blogs and high-fashion glossy websites. As a designer, she was always searching for a website where independent designers could be featured for inspiration, find out the latest handbag trends, see where what the latest "it bag" was and also where she could post if she was having bag party or trunk show.

After many years of grass-roots marketing and developing a handbag line from nothing with no design background that took her bags to Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel and Bloomingdale's and then finally to QVC and now with 3 licensees, Blumenthal had many aspiring designers contact her for advice to learn more about her "how to" story.
