COMPETITION OVERVIEW

The Queens Economic Development Corp in partnership with the Queens Public Library in Flushing is proud to announce the 4th Annual Queens StartUP! Business Plan Competition for Queens-based startup entrepreneurs with cash prizes totaling $24,000. (See Prize Info). The Queens StartUP! Business Plan Competition gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to strengthen their business knowledge, learn about business trends and gain insights about starting and growing a business, as well as an introduction to the vast resources at the Queens Public Library.

WHO CAN ENTER?

If you are 18 years of age or older live in Queens, are a legal resident or US citizen, and wish to start a business in Queens, you are eligible. 'StartUP!" is a competition to help applicants start and grow a business.

HOW CAN I APPLY?

All applicants must attend one (1) orientation session being held at the Queens Public Library at Flushing. The orientation will give you all the details about applying to the Queens StartUP! Business Plan Competition.

Team Member Profile

Must be filled out by each individual team member

Competition registrants must complete an application and submit it by 5pm, Friday, November 20, 2009. Also a full business plan must be submitted by 5pm

WHEN DO ORIENTATION SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?

Orientations at Queens Library Flushing start you off by giving you the basics of the competition. The orientation dates and times are listed below.
